This
project was one of the most challenging I've produced to date. Another
visitor center collaboration with Color-Ad,
Inc. (and master fabricator David Currier,
of Charlottesville, Virginia, who created all the trees and
other pieces), the exhibit of synthetic representations of various
indigenous flora & fauna is displayed with beautiful photomurals
among custom cabinetry and graphic interactives. My contribution
(listed below) constitutes only part of the exhibit, which I managed
to complete in approximately six months. All the models were created
using a variety of materials; however, the primary medium employed
with every model was Polygem
sculpting epoxy. The ease of use and variable properties make it
the finest product I've ever used.
