Lagoons
Island Grille |
 |
This
mural was commissioned by Lagoons
Island Grille in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. It consisted of five
panels of acrylic paint on canvas stretched over panels. The idea
here was to create that sunset in the islands ambience, mon.(
4' x 27' ) Sadly, Lagoons is gone forever. It was a great place!!
The business sold and the panels were taken down and auctioned
off at a fundraiser for the benefit of Sharon's Way Benevolent
Fund, a local charity that supports community children's programs.

This
mural was also commissioned by Lagoons for their Jungle Room.
It consists of acrylic paint on canvas applied directly to the
wall. This piece was painted onsite and with a lotta help it was
finished in one week. It measures 6' x 67'.

Unfortunately, I never got any really good images and now I can't.

Middle panel detail.
The point. It's the place where I'd like to be.

Middle panel detail.
Supposed to be a family strolling along the water's edge.

Right panel detail.
This was meant to represent a seaside grill.
Note the "No Stress" sign on the palm tree. Josh is getting
a plateful.

Right panel detail.
This panel was supposed to be a portrait of the owners,
John & Ann Remy with their baby child Kira. John was and is still
an awesome musician,
so I gave him dreadlocks and accompaniment. The portrait of Ann isn't
TOO off, but I hope I didn't
traumatize Kira with her portrait. I'm reminded of the green baby by
Van Gogh...
Hey, I really tried to capture them but sometimes it ain't so easy.
