Here are some paintings from quite awhile ago that still seem to resonate with me.
I hope to add to this page in a sort of retrospection.
More information accompanies the enlargements below.

These two (oil on canvas, 30" x 24") are part of a series of self-portraits I was doing around 1994. They were both included in a couple of portrait exhibits. One was at The Delaplaine Visual Arts Center located in Frederick, MD. Another was at The Montpelier Cultural Arts Center in Laurel, MD. The latter was curated by Robert Stewart, Senior Curator of Painting and Sculpture, National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. The one on the left ("The Fly") was recently exhibited as part of "About Face", a portrait exhibition at Annmarie Garden in Solomons Island, Maryland

This piece is entitled "Etc...". It was created in 1991 and seemed to be one of my responses to the Persian Gulf War. In 1999 it was included in an exhibition at the Fraser Gallery in Geogetown, DC, as part of an homage to Salvador Dali.

This is printed on the One-Eyed Jack CD "Live in the Lion's Den" and is part of the liner below it. It was originally an oil painting on a circular panel 36" in diameter called "The Big Lie..."
