Above are examples
of various Natural History Models created as part of larger exhibits
that are displayed in Visitors Centers in various National Parks.
All models are sculpted using synthetic materials and are the actual
size of the creature they represent.
Each one is
included in the Exhibit section, but since they are indeed sculptures,
I wanted to include them here for quick reference. If you are interested
in the details of the larger exhibits, there will be a link on the
enlarged photo to take you to the specific project listed in the
Exhibits section.

|
This
is a variation of the Osprey sculpture I created and donated to
PGCC.
The sculpture was commissioned to be presented as a gift to
St. Mary's College in St. Mary's City, Maryland.
The sculpture (approx. 32" x 14" x 14")is
comprised of a solid urethane cast
wi th glass eyes, wood, sand, shells and other polymers.
Along
with the pics of the sculpture are the patron and members of the
staff at the college.

Osprey
Gift to PGCC |
|
This is
a sculpture I created and donated to Prince George's Community
College in order to be auctioned off at the Alumni Art Student's
Invitational Exhibition to raise money for an Art Alumni Endowed
Scholarship.
It was a success.
I made a
mold of the body of the bird and will be creating more variations
on this theme for sale to the public. I will post it as soon
as it is finished. The sculpture (approximately 33" x 14"
x 19") is comprised of a solid polyurethane cast with glass
eyes, wood, sand, shells, and other polymers.

Pudge
at the Birchmere |
    |
This
is the life sized portrait / sculpture of Pudge hanging out
in his pool hall. Gary wanted me to make a 3-D cartoon character
that kind of resembled his long-time friend. I guess I got carried
away with the resemble aspect and less so with the cartoon part.
The sculpture is a combination of paper mache`, plaster, polystyrene,
paint, and thrift store.
